  • What are the requirements for API Hub products?
    To use an API Hub product, you must have an active GS1 Switzerland membership and a valid contract for the respective product.
  • I have not received a confirmation. What should I do?

    After you have completed the application forms online, the contract details are recorded by our Customer Care Team.
    Usually, you will receive a confirmation within 48 hours or we will contact you.

    If you do not hear from us within this time, please contact us by phone, as an error may have occurred when submitting the application.

  • What are the benefits of using MyRegistry?

    Thanks to MyRegistry:

    • you always know which GTIN/GLN has been assigned to which product/location
    • the next available GTIN/GLN is automatically assigned to a new product or location
    • there is no need to calculate the check digit
    • you receive the correct barcode in the best quality
  • What do I need to do if my company changes its name?

    Please notify us of any company name changes using the contact form.

    If the name change results in a new VAT number, the existing contracts, including GTINs/barcodes, must be transferred.

    A service fee of CHF 250 (excluding VAT) per GS1 Company Prefix (GCP) will be charged for the transfer.

  • What services are included in my GTIN/barcode contract?

    The services included vary depending on the product you have purchased. However, the following services are included in all GTIN/barcode offerings:

    • Company listing in the global Verified by GS1 database
    • Use of MyRegistry or Single GTIN to manage GTINs and product information
    • Free creation of barcodes for your products
