Application forms

Many thanks for your interest in a membership with GS1 Switzerland. The following section contains the necessary information and forms to become member of GS1 Switzerland. Please study the documents carefully and get in touch with us if you have any questions.

A written application is required for a membership with GS1 Switzerland. We need  the following legally signed documents sent in by postal service:

• Application form for membership and for a Global Company Prefix (GCP).
• Application for membership

Application for a GLN (Global Location Number)
This GS1 identification code is used to identify a physical location (e.g. building, loading ramp, department) or a company (legal person). The GLN may not be used to identify articles or logistical units. A membership with GS1 Switzerland is not necessary.

Application for EPCglobal (follow later)

The EPC (Electronic Product Code) is an identification table for the universal identification of physical objects using RFID days.

GS1 membership and an allocated GS1 core number are required.

Please send us the original documents legally signed by you. They have to be printed, signed and sent in by postal service. In urgent cases you may send them by email: mail@gs1.ch. and send the originals by post afterwards.

You don't need to apply for a membership at GS1 Switzerland to buy a GTIN on this website - We just allocate one or a few GTINs to you. Services of GS1 Switzerland aren't free of charge for non-members.

This offer is limited to individuals and companies located within Switzerland or Liechtenstein, who only have a need for one or just a few GTINs.

Please be aware that a membership at GS1 Switzerland makes more sense if there is a need for GTINs to identify a lot of products (for example different sales units).

You are only able to buy GTINs with a credit card of the companies VISA or Mastercard and the postcard. The GTINs will be delivered instantly by mail right after the payment was recieved. There will be no refunds.
